Investing for Positive Change

 On a given night, more than a half million Americans experience homelessness including tens of thousands of children and veterans. Worsened by a multi-decade period of underinvestment in new housing development, rising housing costs affect nearly every American, none more-so than those individuals at the margins of homelessness. We believe that a multi-faceted approach is needed to address the underlying causes of homelessness, rooted in private market solutions and philanthropic undertakings. 

 

 At Hoya Capital, we believe that lowering the barriers to ownership of real estate is one critical part of the solution. Our core business is rooted in the efficient allocation of capital to the home builders, housing operators, real estate technology companies, and service providers that, with the critical help of nonprofit organizations, have helped to reduce the rate of homelessness in America by more than 14% since 2007 according to the National Alliance to End Homelessness.
