ALEX traces its roots on the island back 150 years, but is among the newer REITs following its conversion from a C-Corp in 2017. ALEX owns and operates roughly 4 million square feet of commercial space, including 21 retail centers, 14 industrial assets, and four office properties, as well as 142.0 acres of ground lease assets.

Our ticker symbol is Alex and Alex is the only public REIT that is exclusively focused in the state of Hawaii. We're also headquartered here. Um we're the largest owner of strip retail assets in the state of Hawaii and about twothirds of our portfolio NOI is generated from that asset class. Our other two asset classes that we're currently invested in are industrial as well as ground leases. And the investment thesis around the geographically focused but asset class diverse is really twofold.

Uh one that Hawaii is a supply constrained market and um so we believe that just fundamentally it's uh it's a solid investment and creates opportunities uh with a supply demand imbalance and we take advantage of that and the way that we do that is the fact that we're here and so we have our management team here. uh we understand the market and ...
